Royal Palace of Caserta – Restoration of the Interior and Exterior Façades for Safe Public Access and Enhancement of the Vanvitellian Complex, Caserta (CE)

The restoration works on the south, east and west façades, as well as on two façades of the fourth courtyard of the Royal Palace of Caserta, were carried out by the Vanvitelli Consortium s.c.a.r.l., of which ES is an active member. The works primarily involved the restoration of the decorative and structural stone elements forming the architectural composition of the façades, the restoration of stone and brick facing, and the restoration of stucco cornices and mouldings. Activities included cleaning and removal of deteriorating agents, consolidation, grouting and material integration, securing unstable elements, and renewing the flooring of the roof terraces.
