Laser Scanner Survey of Archaeological Structures and the Wooded Area at Villa Massenzia, Appia Antica Archaeological Park, Rome

Fieldwork included a planimetric and altimetric survey of the wooded area owned by Unioncamere and of the Roman-period ruins located within the green area of Villa Massenzia. The archaeological structures forming part of the imperial residence complex along the Appian Way were surveyed using laser-scanning technology, with direct acquisition of RGB photographic data linked to the point cloud. In addition to the survey, a mapping of materials and conservation conditions was carried out.
