The archaeological excavation campaign in the Monte Pruno and Cuozzi areas, in the Municipality of Roscigno (SA), was carried out to uncover and restore ancient structures dating from the Lucanian period, between the 7th and 4th centuries BC. In particular, the defensive wall circuit surrounding the Monte Pruno plateau was the subject of excavation and restoration works. Excavations on the plateau revealed significant archaeological structures and burials containing rich grave goods.
