Open Pompei is the consultation system developed to share the information assets of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii with the public.

Open Pompei collects and aggregates information contained in the main management information systems used by the Park and makes it available to all users who wish to access it. Thanks to an infrastructure specifically designed for public use, descriptions, catalogue archives, historical photographs and many other types of information are freely accessible from smartphones and PCs without registration.

Its flexibility and user-location feature, available when used on a smartphone, make it particularly suitable for use within the Archaeological Park, supporting visitors during their visit and providing specialists with scientific information.

The consultation interface is based on WebGIS technology but does not follow conventional navigation models.
