REMIAM – Intelligent Museum Network with Advanced Multimedia

The REMIAM project is designed to develop a demonstrator prototype of a Museum Network and to lay the foundations for an integrated initiative focused on the extensive heritage of museums in Campania. The project is structured around three interconnected lines of action:

analysis of museum heritage, aimed at creating an Integrated Knowledge System extending the scope of the CHIS platform;
development of a museum network;
development of tools for Social and Sustainable Access through augmented and virtual reality.

The new Museum concept within the network is based on its ability to tell its own story through technologies that enable the exhibits to communicate with visitors, moving beyond simple access to offer a cultural, intellectual and emotional experience capable of meeting different tastes and needs. Modern Internet of Things (IoT) and Augmented Reality technologies will be used to support this shift, creating a technological framework that facilitates communication and enhances understanding of the knowledge associated with the place.
