ERDF Regional Operational Programme 2007–2013, Priority Axis V, Measure 5.2 – Car Parks in the Cimino-Croce Area: Investigations and Excavations for Preventive Archaeology

The archaeological excavation campaign in the Cimino-Croce area of the Municipality of Taranto (TA), undertaken in preparation for the construction of a parking area for public transport vehicles, uncovered significant archaeological remains associated with a necropolis, a sanctuary and a cryptoporticus belonging to a Roman villa. ES Srl provided qualified personnel for manual stratigraphic archaeological excavation and restoration.
