Architectural Survey and Condition Assessment Mapping of the Walls, Towers and Brunelleschi Fortress in Vicopisano (Pisa), for Restoration Works

Vicopisano is a medieval village long contested during the conflict between the city-states of Florence and Pisa. Its walls were reinforced during the Renaissance to a design by Brunelleschi. A detailed architectural survey of the entire defensive wall circuit and the fortress was carried out. The elevations, documented through orthophoto plans, include a condition assessment map to support the design of restoration works.
