Palazzo Sanguinetti: Ground-Floor Redevelopment for the Conservatory

Palazzo Sanguinetti: renovation and functional redevelopment of the ground floor for Conservatory use, Bologna. 2023/2025

The project involved the functional and artistic restoration of the east wing on the ground floor of Palazzo Sanguinetti, located on Strada Maggiore in Bologna. The work enabled the recovery of several rooms as an extension of the Museum of Music, as well as other rooms to be used as study spaces by the Bologna Conservatory.
The building is protected by statutory heritage designation under the authority of the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan City of Bologna and the provinces of Modena, Reggio Emilia and Ferrara. The project included the restoration of painted surfaces, replacement of timber flooring, upgrading of building services, and renewal of plasterwork and window and door frames.
